South Tyneside Aquatic, Marine & Pondkeeper Society

STAMPS set up this website for the benefit of all aquarists, not only for its members. Besides keeping you informed about STAMPS' activities, the site will also bring you information from the Federation of British Aquatic Societies (FBAS), Tyne Tees Area Association (TTAA) and other federations. A history of the TTAA is included but is far from complete; more information is need from those with picture, club badge, logos or information which will help to complete this section. Can you help complete the list of TTAA societies or judges? Can you name members of societies or provide a logo? Can you provide picture of past events or people? Have you any old schedules or place card? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, please contact me (Paul Barrow) (email webmaster) or a member of STAMPS at a local event.
STAMPS meets every second Tuesday (Meeting's Calendar)   at the Marsden Inn, 143 Marsden Lane, South Shields, Tyne & Wear, NE34 7HN . Meetings are held in a private room, in a family hotel where children are welcome. All forms of fishkeeping (tropical, coldwater, freshwater, marine, plants & paludariums) are catered for through the wide-ranging knowledge of our members. Anyone wishing to find out about the club should come along, as our guest, to one of the meetings listed in the Meeting's Calendar . There is a yearly fee of £10 for adults, £5 for 16-18 year olds and no fee for junior members- no weekly subs are paid.
Our new club will not retain large amounts of money, but will instead keep enough to finance shows and auctions; the overflow will be donated to charities. Meeting will consist of table shows, talks, discussions, videos, slide shows and quizzes. We have joined forces with a like-minded society, Rydal Aquarist Society, in the YAAS region, and plan to have joint events starting in 2008.
Our society's aim is to promote fishkeeping in a positive and ethical manner for the welfare of the fish and the enjoyment of their keepers.
This site was set up with the help of Aquarists throughout Britain, if you can help to add to the site in any way, please email me (Paul Barrow) or contact a STAMPS' member at a local event. (email the Webmaster by clicking here).
