Caer Urfa Auction Cancelled
The auction to be held on the 25th October has been cancelled.
STAMPS Junior Members takes major awards at Scottish Aquarist Festival
Amy Charters took away the FSAS Junior Best in Show award on the 14th of September 2008. She also received a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Special Award at the same show.
22/05/08 - John Cowan made an Honorary Member of STAMPS
John was awarded this honour for his services to TTAA Region and our Society.
29/02/08 - Hagen join forces with the FBAS to sponsor open shows.
This year, qualifying clubs will receive a show pack from the FBAS containing Tetra products & trophies, & Hagen products.
21/02/08 - A new fishkeeping Magazine is Launched
Issue 1 of The Aquarium Gazette,
unique because it is on CD and is written by aquarists, has been launched. The first copy, featuring such interesting articles as: The First Breeding Of Sewellia lineolata; articles on the catfish genus,
Astroblepus, and the livbearer, Xenopoecilus sarasinorum plus a lot more is now on sale.

FBAS loses sponsorship from Aquarian.
From the beginning of 2008, there will be no show packs from the FBAS. Tetra
continue their sponsorship of Best in Show and Championship Classes.
Minor changes Made to class H.
Class H remains unchanged and is for the genera; Aspidoras, Corydoras, Brochis & Scleromysatx. However, sub-division Ha now includes Aspidoras as well as Brochis.
Endlers confusion resolved. The FBAS now recognises Endler's Livebearer as Poecilia wingei, which will be shown in class S, non-recognised colour varieties will be put into class O.
Major New Awards Announced. Tetra
will be sponsoring The Supreme Pairs Competition
& The Supreme Breeds Competition
at the Festival of Fish Keeping. Exhibits from all open shows run to FBAS rules, gaining 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th will be eligible. Show Secretaries must fill in the appropriate form provided by the FBAS. Supreme
Pairs is for classes Nb-m, No-t & Nu-w. Supreme Breeders (4 fish) is for classes Nb-m, No-t & Nu-w. FBAS News

Ryedale & STAMPS finalise twinning dates.
Rydal will hold their Funday on the 22nd of June at Pickering, whilst STAMPs will hold their day on the 11 August at South Shields. .

FBAS start a new pointing system in 2008.
From the beginning of 2008, fish will be awarded a maximum of 10 points for size; the tanks being awarded the remaining 10.
