Additional Information: Like most characins, these fish are best kept in groups of five or more. They tend to be shy and need plenty of cover, loosing all of their colour when distressed. They are one of the easiest Phantom Tetras to breed. Once  conditioned they need mops, plants or a peat base to protect their eggs. As with most characins, their eggs are light sensitive meaning the spawning tank need to be kept in dim light until the fry hatch and are free swimming.
